Filter
Select the FX 1 tab [Orange]. Now go to the FILTER BANK section and select Comb Filter in TYPE [Purple],
change FREQ to 12 o’clock and RESONANCE to 9 o’clock [Blue].

How to create an evolving FM stab using Virus TI
Set Up
Initialise the Virus TI, set up its MIDI channel and program a few hits.
Modulation
Click the LFO tab [Orange]. ASSIGN LFO 1 to Filterbank Freq [Purple] and turn up the amount by about 2
o’clock [Blue]. Lastly Change the CLK to 8/1 [Green].
Oscillators
Click the OSC tab [Orange], Increase FM AMT to full [Purple], decrease oscillator 2 detune [Blue],
and select Twin UNISON MODE, around 10 o’clock DETUNE, 2 o’clock PAN SPREAD and 12 o’clock LFO PHS
[Green].
Tips
This patch sounds particularly good with a modulated band pass filter and ping pong delay. Also experiment with different tones by changing Oscillator 2 type, Filterbank Freq amount and LFO 1 clock
speed.
