6 INTERVIEW INTERVIEW Follow him: PM: Hi there. Let’s start from the basics for anyone who do not know you: Who you are and where are you from? MS: Hello, my name is Kostas Denegris. I have a project called Mr. Suspect, from 2011. I’m from Athens, Greece and now I live in the UK. PM: Tell us about yourself and how you started with prog/psytrance? MS: I started to discover music at the age of 5, when I started to play the piano and soon after the guitar for 9 years. The psychedelic virus got me around 1999. At first, I had two other projects at other kinds of Trance Music, where I released many tracks at labels such as Discobole, Turbo Trance, Shivlink, Mechanic records. After these two projects, I went to university to study Music Technology & Sound Engineering for four years, where, finally at 2011 I started my third and my gem project “Mr. Suspect”. PM: Your album ‘Archetype’ was reached high on charts on March of 2014 how this made you feel? MS: Well It’s hard for me to describe it in words, but I felt really honored and thrilled to find my project on charts, even though I didn’t expect to be so high on charts, amongst great artists like Electric Universe, Talamasca, Aerospace, Burn In Noise. It’s all about good vibes! PM: Is there any festival that you would like to play? MS: Well, until now I’ve played only on venues and clubs and not in many Festivals. My first gig in a festival with this project was this summer in Greece at Plur Festival, from which I have great memories and I will always remember. As far as the festivals I dream myself playing at Boom, Ozora , Universo Parallelo and probably many more which I’m forgetting right now. PM: Which is your favorite Daw, Vst’s and what’s the gear you are using inside your studio? MS: Well the main program that I make music with now, is Logic X and favorite vst’s are Spire, Massive and Omnisphere. My gear is: Dynaudio Monitors, Motu Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid, Dangerous D-box, UAD Satellite Quad, Slate digital Vbc&Vcc Plugins, Oxygen 61 Midi Keyboard, One beast MacBook pro, one old but gold iMac and my recently added acoustic treatment by Vicoustics. PM: Finally what you are up to these days? MS: I have already made a remix to Ovnimoon - Quiet My Mind, one new track called No More and a collaboration with Reverse called “Partners in crime”.
