PM: Let’s start from the basics, who are
you and where are you from?
MB: Greetings! My Name is Zephirus Kane
of Nano Recording artists Master Blasters.
I was born in New Zealand before my family
moved to the UK when i was young.
PM: How you started with Psytrance in
the first place?
MB: I started by going to some of the very
first parties that were put on in the UK during the early 90’s
PM: What got you into production path?
MB: It was these fully rocking psychedelic
parties that spoke to me and said “you must
make this music ! “
MB: I’ve collaborated with Tristan, Avalon,
Dickster, Laughing Buddha, Sonic Species,
Hypnoacoustics, Chameleon.
I’m starting my own project now with more
collaborations with the above artists and
Ajja, Symbolic, Martian Arts, Groove addict.
PM: Do you have any production tips to
give the upcoming producers out there.
MB: It’s all about dedication,about never
giving up,about soaking up as much information as you can.We’re living in an age
of information so everything you need to
know is out there if you just look.
PM: Analog or digital?
PM: How you define your style?
MB: My production utilises the best of both
worlds:The warmth,the uniqueness,the
beauty of analog with the convenience,the
recall the limitless of digital.
MB: Powerful,grooving,stomping psychedelic funk for the heart,mind and soul.
PM: Any message to send to our scene
before we end this interview?
PM: How you see psytrance scene nowadays?
MB: Full bolenath ! Much love and respect
to the the producers,the promoters,the
DJ’s,the groovers and the freaks !!
MB: Bigger,better,more global and vibrant
than it’s ever been.
