meet psie’s executive team
Azeem Iqbal (Founder & Chairperson)
He is an industrial engineering graduate from UMT
Lahore. Founder & CEO of Puzzle Solutions which is
an industrial engineering startup company. Azeem is
a certified six sigma green belt professional from
PIQC and currently, with a passion for science,
teaching and research, works at the Centre for
Experimental Physics Education (CEPE) at LUMS in
Lahore, Pakistan.
Qurratulain Shakoor (Vice Chairperson)
She graduated as an industrial engineer back in 2010
from UET Peshawar and is a Certified Six Sigma Green
Belt Professional from PIQC. Before joining PSIE she
worked at Al-Faisal University Riyadh. She is also the
Editor in Chief of PSIE Industrial Magazine and serves
as an indispensable and most valuable part of our
team.
Umar Saeed (President)
A recent graduate from UET Lahore. He is a member of
IIE, ASME and ASHRAE. Has a great internship
experience with Packages, Nestle and Atlas Honda. He is
highly passionate about industrial engineering and vows
to work for the development of field in Pakistan.
Currently, working on industrial projects with PAAPAM.
Muhammad Zeeshan (Vice President)
A recent graduate from UET. He is a former President of
Industrial & Manufacturing Society (SIME) at UET for
2015-2016 session. He has given notable contributions
to SIME in the form of a number of knowledge sharing
and networking events. He is highly passionate about
industrial engineering and wants to work towards
betterment of this field in Pakistan.
Muhammad Jahanzaib (General Secretary)
Graduated in Industrial Engineering from Dawood
University of Engineering and Technology back in 2013.
He has worked as a Project Engineer at the Atlas Honda
Karachi and is currently pursuing his Masters in Design
& Manufacturing Engineering from NUST, Islamabad.
Jahanzaib too stands among the founding members of
the society has long served the society in various
facets.
Usman Dawood Barry (Treasurer)
A passionate entrepreneur and an industrial engineer
from IoBM Karachi. He is Founder & CEO of Comfort &
Style. He is also the Chief Trainer of Occupation Health
& Safety Consultants. He is also the Founder of Safety
Awareness Program & Pakistan Society of Occupational
Safety and Ergonomics. He also stands among the few
founding members of PSIE.
Mubashir Iftikhar
(Program & Membership Director)
Recently completed his Bachelors in Industrial &
Manufacturing Engineering from UET Lahore. He is also
an international member of ASME and ASHRAE.
Mubashir has served as an important asset in executing
various PSIE programs and is also amongst the founding
team members.
