Dream The RV Enthusiasts I f you’re in the market for a new recreation vehicle or you’re curious about the lifestyle, America’s Largest RV Show, set for September 11-15 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is the best place to get your questions answered and tour the latest RVs on the market. Hershey, home of Hershey’s Chocolate and Hersheypark, welcomes a city of RVs for a week-long event hosted by the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA). More than 40 manufacturers and 150 vendors converge on Chocolatetown where they display new RVs, the latest accessories, campground and vacation destinations and other useful products for RVs and camping. As the first show to introduce the 2020 model RVs, America’s Largest RV Show continues to be a must-attend event for RVers. In 2018, nearly 60,000 visitors perused the 50th anniversary show at the Giant Center. The outside displays featured opportunities to tour the newest RV floorplans with salespeople readily available to answer questions, help with 14 | EXPLORE Pennsylvania 2019 financing and take orders. RVs on display included Class A, B and C motorhomes, 5th wheel travel trailers, conventional travel trailers, toy haulers, truck campers and popup campers, plus park models and unique campers, such as a Jeep featuring a pop-up tent on its roof and a removable kitchen for cooking needs. Many manufacturers and dealers offered special pricing only available at the show. Inside the Giant Center arena, vendors displayed RV accessories, campground and vacation destinations, cooking prod- ucts, campsite tools and products to help campers stay comfortable. It’s a great place to find the latest gadget, decoration or components to upgrade your RV. Hourly seminars, presented by nationally -recognized speakers, helped educate consumers on interesting topics such as advice on choosing an RV, selecting the correct 5th wheel hitch, extended and full-time RVing, maintenance, insurance, workcamping and vacation adventures to Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, Route 66 and Virginia Beach. Some manufacturers also conduct their own seminars.
