Interactive
Digital Design
creative arts course
Course Overview
We are offering an innovative and exciting Interactive Digital Design course that will
allow students to explore a range of new technologies and practices in design that are
relevant to the pace of technological change. The Interactive Digital Design course
introduces students to the design and study of computer games, web and graphic
design, motion graphics and 2D and 3D animation.
Student Experience What Qualities do I need?
So that you can get the most up to date experience
on this course, there are three fully equipped iMac
design studios with the latest design software including
the full Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Maya.
Plus you get to use hardware such as Wacom graphics
tablets, iPads, DSLR cameras and a mobile green
screen. The Interactive Digital Design course promotes
and exploits technology, mobile devices and social
media within the teaching and learning environment. You should be a young designer who is interested in
technology and the creative opportunities it presents.
We want students who have ideas, who are interested
in design and who are strong at working both
independently and collaboratively. You have to be self
motivated and have an enthusiasm to learn. You will
have ideally come from a media, ICT, art or design and
technology background.
The course promotes and encourages visits from
professional designers, animators, games developers and
VFX Specialists. We have had talks and workshops from
companies such as Apple, Google, Aardman Animation
and Escape Studios. We ensure our students are kept
up to date with current design initiatives by attending
exhibitions, entering competitions and exhibiting student
work in our Interactive Digital Design exhibition.
