Use Social Media to Create Buzz In a recent study, 90% of respondents who used social media as an exhibit marketing tool found it effective in achieving their pre-show marketing objectives. So take charge of your online presence and use it to your advantage when promoting your participation at HNA. Here are ideas for using social media before, during and after HNA to generate buzz, connect with prospects, deepen relationships with customers and attract attendees to your booth. PRE-SHOW • Use our hashtag – #HNA2018. Connect with the people who are using our hashtag and integrate it into your posts to promote that you’ll be at the show. Be an active participant in conversations surrounding the show. • If you don’t already have one, create a hashtag specific to your company or campaign. Use it along with the show hashtag to gain visibility. • Connect with media. Get to know them. Share what they’re sharing. Comment on their work. Invite them to stop by your booth. Give them some story ideas they could write about around what you’re doing. • Is your company unveiling new services or products at HNA? Are you planning a contest or special feature in your booth? Teaser videos are a great way to quickly generate interest on any social platform. Upload them to YouTube, share on Facebook and Twitter or create shorter versions for Instagram. Be sure to hashtag #HNA2018. • Create An Event-Specific Page On Your Website to serve as the home base for all things related to the upcoming show — videos you’ve created, articles written about your company and other special announcements. It’s a great place to direct potential booth visitors to get all the information they want. Be sure to promote the page on social media.
