ON-SITE PRESS CENTER / PRESS MATERIALS
Remember to prepare press kits , news releases or fliers announcing what ' s new in your booth . We offer two options for distribution :
1 . Any time prior to or during the show , email your press materials to us and we will load them into a Dropbox that is shared exclusively with media who are registered for the show to use in pre- and post-show coverage . Zip your files into one folder and save as " CompanyName _ Booth #", email to press @ gie-expo . com and we ' ll post it in the Dropbox .
2 . Bring your materials to the Press Center during move-in . The Press Center , located in the South Wing Conference Center , Room C111 , will be staffed during show hours and move-in ( Tues & Wed ). If you prefer to ship or mail materials , please plan for them to arrive October 15-16 and use the following address :

There will be a drayage charge for any materials delivered by the expo center staff to the Press Center . GIE + EXPO is not responsible for press materials remaining at the show ’ s close . Please collect remaining materials or leave them for disposal .

MEDIA CONTACTS Enclosed you will find a list of advertising and editorial contacts at top industry media outlets . Many of these publications will feature GIE + EXPO , offering you the perfect opportunity to submit product releases or advertise , and capitalize on your participation in the show . Send your tradeshow news to them as early as summer to accommodate long lead times .
SCHEDULE A PRESS CONFERENCE FOR INCREASED VISIBILITY
Press conferences at GIE + EXPO are a great way to increase your visibility beyond the tradeshow floor . Emerging companies are given the chance to gain industry recognition while established companies can show off their newest innovations .
• Use the form on page 25 to reserve your press conference time ASAP ! Space is limited and the prime time slots will quickly be reserved by tradeshow pros who know the benefit of holding a press conference at GIE + EXPO .
• Use the Editorial / Advertising Contacts list in this kit to send personalized invitations . While a complete schedule will be sent to all registered media and provided on-site in the press center , giving advanced notice of your press conference to specific media will give each writer the opportunity to schedule accordingly and will increase the likelihood they will attend the show and your press conference .
• Make certain you have something newsworthy to announce . New executivelevel hires or shifts in organizational hierarchy , company mergers or acquisitions , anniversaries , company landmarks and new products are all newsworthy announcements .
• Prepare a media kit in a digital format with photos , etc . Make it easy for the press to cover your news . Have materials to hand out or offer to email them directly to those attending your press conference .
• Follow up . A list of registered media will be available after the show . A phone call or email is a helpful reminder of your announcement and may increase the possibility of coverage in their GIE + EXPO wrap-up or subsequent issues .
