CONFERENCE SCHEDULE REFLECTION
A
s International Prayer Coordinator for the Church
of God, each year, Doug Small hosts a national
gathering of state prayer leaders and others in
Cleveland, TN in conjunction with Agree, a convocation
coordinated by the International Offices. This training
introduces attendees to new resources. New prayer
information is shared and reports are given on new
and upcoming programs. Participants joined with the
Executive Committee and other guests in a unique virtual
prayer meeting conducted each evening. Last year, this
event engaged almost a half-a-million people. See page
9 for more details.
In 2020, tentatively, we are praying about a ‘global
gathering of prayer leaders.’ This would bring together
20-25 regional, multi-national prayer leader-mobilizers.
The goal: a prayer trainer-mobilizer for every nation
and a prayer trainer-mobilizer for every congregation
around the world. Pray about this meeting. Would your
congregation sponsor one of the multi-national leaders
and adopt that region to assist with prayer mobilization
aimed at the harvest? Watch for more information.
Other Conferences and Meetings in 2018
It was Doug’s privilege to speak at a number of Church
of God state prayer meetings including: West Virginia with
Bishop Dan Hampton; Western North Carolina with Bishop
Ken Bell; and Ohio with form Administrative Bishop Les
Higgins. Later in the year, he spoke at the Western North
Carolina Campmeeting. In addition, it was a joy for Doug
to share at the Church of God Southeastern Regional
Black Ministries conference – a seven state gathering.
Thanks to outgoing leader Andre Hester.
Doug was a part of a number of other significant
conferences. One of which was the 47th Annual CMI
Global Convention in Fort Wayne, IN. The was a kingdom
collaboration – forming authentic apostolic relationships
in the church. Doug teamed with the legendary Dutch
Sheets, who is an internationally recognized author,
gifted teacher, and conference speaker. His international
bestseller, Intercessory Prayer, has sold over 1 million
copies worldwide.

Another significant conference, the Upper Room
Global Outpouring Conference in Griffin, GA with Andre
van Zyl, was out of this world. Dr. Tim Hill, General
Overseer of the Church of God, shared along with Rick
DuBose, General Treasurer of the Assemblies of God.
It was Doug’s privilege to speak twice, once on what
he has called the coming Apostolic Epoch (watch for
the book in March). This was a great conference and a
powerful time with Lord.
In addition to these conferences, Doug served the
Billy Graham Evangelistic Associate by speaking at
their annual Military Chaplain Retreat at The Cove in
Asheville, NC. Thanks to their leader, Jack Munday, for
that open door.
PROJECT PRAY also led a number of Schools of
Prayer with the following pastors: Steve Adams in
Laurinburg, NC; Mitchel Bias, Del Barton, WV; Lance
Bacon, Hampton, VA; John Butler; and a collage of other
churches in Bremen, GA.
Thank you to Steve Sells of Operation Transformation
for inviting Doug to speak at the Revitalize 2018
conference hosted at Crosspointe Baptist Church in
Concord, NC. This two-day training and equipping
conference for pastors and church leaders was led by
nationally recognized church revitalizers. The conference
included three sessions, six keynote speakers and
numerous relevant breakouts with a time for dialogue
with the speakers.
