CONFERENCE SCHEDULE REFLECTION

n January, Church
of God State Prayer
Leaders gathered in
Cleveland, TN for prayer
training. Almost 50 prayer
leaders, pastors and
intercessors
attended
representing 18 states.
Doug
participated
in the Denominational Prayer Leaders Network gathering
in San Diego, CA and the National Prayer Committee annual
meeting. Doug serves as a member of the leadership team of
the DPLN, a collage of prayer leaders who represent more than
100,000 congregations in the USA.
In February, the Pentecostal Charismatic Churches of
North America conducted their Annual Meeting in Charleston,
SC. As Chairman of the Prayer Commission, Doug hosted a
commission meeting which included: a tour of the site of the
1857 Anson Street Revival;
a prayer-walk to Mother
Emanuel AME Church;
and a lunch and learn
with a panel discussion on
Revival at the Intersection
of Racial Reconciliation.
Doug led group
meetings, vision casting
discussions and strategy sessions for revival and community
transformation across Georgia at the One Cry Revival
Conferences. In Bartow County, GA, events were held at
Cartersville First Baptist, Liberty Square and Tabernacle Baptist.
Thanks to One Cry leader, Byron Paulus for his vision and his
invitation to participate. Also, to David Franklin, National Day of
Prayer coordinator for Georgia. Other cities included: Douglas,
Decatur and Dalton. On the last night, folks from across Georgia
gathered for a live-streamed state-wide prayer event.
Doug ministered at a state Fresh Encounter Revival Meeting
at REAL Community Church with Pastor Robert Sluder and
conducted a School of Prayer at North Miami Church of God
with Senior Pastor Vinell Robinson.
Pastor Kelly Shope of Ridgecrest Worship Center in Rocky
Mount, NC hosted Doug for a Community Prayer Event and
guest speaker on Sunday morning.
In April, at the Billy
Graham Training Center
at the Cove, Doug was
one of the key-note
speakers at the Heart-
Cry for Revival FUSION
Conference.

In May, the first School of Prayer Associate Presenter
certification training was conducted at Ridgecrest, NC. Read
more about this initiative on page 4 of this newsletter.
In June, Doug had the privilege to present prayer
leadership training at the Western North Carolina Church
of God Camp Meeting. Thank you to Dr. Ken Bell for the
invitation. Similar training was conducted in West Virginia.
Doug was a special guest at The Annual Conference
of North American Indian Church of God Congregations
(Keralites) in Houston, TX. The ministry set-up a model prayer
room displaying different prayer stations.
In August, Doug was a part of the South Florida Church
of God Prayer Emphasis that initiated the Prayer Leading
Continuing Education (PLCE) process in that region. Doug
conducted a state-wide Arkansas Prayer Training Event
introducing the PLCE training model to that state. Doug
presented a Prayer Impact Weekend at Beulah Baptist
Church in Bennett, NC with Pastor Neal Jackson.
Pastor Steve Pearson of Church of the Saviour in
Lexington, KY has determined to be a praying church
engaging Doug as a congregational prayer coach.
Bishop Dennis Kutzner and Prayer Coordinator, Herb Flint
invited Doug Small to be their speaker at the 46th Annual
Conference for the CMI Global Church.
Doug attended the Wittenberg 2017 Congress. This
once-in-a-lifetime event celebrated the 500th Anniversary
of the nailing of Martin Luther’s 95 theses to the door of All
Saints Church. Doug led prayer experiences at the conference
with some 600 plus global delegates. Doug and Barbara
traveled to Herrnhut, Germany to visit the site where the 100-
year prayer revival sparked the great missionary movement
in the 1700s.
In November, International Director of the Billy Graham
Rapid Response Team, Jack Munday, invited Doug Small to
speak at the Military Chaplains Retreat at the Cove at the Billy
Graham Training Center.
Throughout 2017, Doug was invited to do morning
devotions at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
Headquarters. We are so grateful for their affirmation and
continuing invitations. o
