School of Prayer Associate Presenter Program P ROJECT PRAY launched it’s new School of Prayer Associate Presenter Program in 2017. This program offers certification for a number of the Schools of Prayer developed by PROJECT PRAY. These Schools have been presented across the nation and around the world. “This is a symbiotic partnership,” Small says. “If we can train leaders to serve an on-going prayer training process and offer Schools of Prayer in local churches, quality materials that stretch our prayer theology and practice, then we are on the edge of seeing a movement of prayer that offers the hope of revival and awakening.” Participants attend a multi-day training session where they learn the content of the Schools of Prayer and review support materials. The first training session was held at Ridgecrest Conference Center in May 2017. Over 25 participants attended with three individuals completing the certification requirements. Another training session has already been held this January. Our desire is to further the ‘prayer reformation’ taking place in our churches around the world. So many people long for God, but they do not know the Biblical framework for prayer. Theology, sadly, gets warped by the cultural lens. Our glorious role is help people begin to recover a Biblical view of prayer, one that is not merely trans- actional and acquisitional, but also transformational. Training is currently available in three Schools of Prayer: The Prayer Closet – Creating a Personal Prayer Room; The Great Exchange – Why Your Prayer Requests May Not be Getting An- swers; and PRAYER – The Heart of It All. We look forward to growing this program in 2018. They are facilitated by P. Douglas Small or through our new Associate Pre- senter Program. The Lord is calling PROJ- ECT PRAY to train prayer leaders and mobilize a national intercessory force. Through our Associate Presenters, train- ing opportunities are expanded as others are empowered to present a new theolo- gy of prayer. Congregations are encouraged to partner together to host a School of Prayer. These events can catalyze a na- tional effort of prayer and city-impact. There are three main Schools of Prayer currently available: The Prayer Closet: Creating a Personal Prayer Room What we seek is more than mere words or a disciplined, noble routine for prayer. Prayer is a relationship that has to be cen- tered in the heart. Prayer is not something we do, it is some- one we are with. And that needs a place! Topics include: • The advantages of a designated place of prayer. • Enemies of prayer. • Creating a habit of prayer. • Developing a healthy prayer theology. • The prayer closet as a wedding canopy. • The publican vs. the Pharisee. • Understanding spiritual disciplines. • The prayer model Jesus gave us. • The three greats.
