Martina Devlin, Liz McManus and Mary O’Donnell join forces for a unique event ranging from the Plantation to the outbreak of the Troubles and the postGood Friday Agreement period. They cast a writer’s eye over three dramatic episodes with far-reaching consequences which inspired their books. Friday 9 October Doors 7:00pm Event 7:30pm £8/£6 Dandering Willie Drennan meets Rambling Ringo An informal evening of music, song and story: Folky, Bluesy and genres not yet categorised. 'Rambling Ringo' is the musical alter ego of Lisburn visual artist Ian McPherson. Ringo is a troubadour, songwriter and seasoned street musician who plays country, folk and blues on guitar and harmonica. Willie Drennan is an Ulster-Scots musician and raconteur. Willie plays fiddle, flutes, mandolin and drums and is perhaps best known for his BBC TV series 'A Dander With Drennan'. Expect the unexpected. Wednesday 14 October 8:00pm | £10/£8 | BYO Martina Devlin DiaoChan: The Rise of The Courtesan After the success of The Autumn of Han Red Dragonfly returns with another exciting adaptation of a Chinese classic. Based on the ancient Chinese legend of DiaoChan, this production has been called a Chinese Macbeth, and brings to the stage an epic story of lust, jealousy and revenge. The Empire is in turmoil and the tyrant DongZhuo has made an eight-year-old boy Emperor and is ruling as chancellor. As he puts to the sword those who oppose him, the minister WangYun fears for his life and that of his daughter. What will become of them? Thursday 15 – Saturday 17 October 8:00pm | £12/£10 | 12+ yrs Sam Brady: Kindness Award-winning comedian and failed Buddhist monk, Sam Brady, explores his ongoing struggle to be a "good person" and asks why KINDNESS is so undervalued and so hard to practise. Heart-warming, thought-provoking comedy. Wednesday 21 October 8:00pm | £12/£10 | 16+ yrs The Jeremiahs Experience one of the freshest bands on the traditional Irish music scene. The Jeremiahs combine traditional and contemporary sounds to create their own brand of Urban Folk music. Since founding in 2013 the quartet have trail blazed across Ireland and Europe playing some of the top venues and Festivals. The band includes Joe Gibney (Vocals/whistle), Brian Corry (Tin whistle/Flute), James Ryan (Guitar/Bouzouki) and Jean Christophe Morel (Fiddle/Mandola). The Jeremiahs produce a memorable show.
