Twentieth century playwrights gave us
a new kind of protagonist - not the
traditional ‘hero’ but everyman
champions. This class looks at 20thcentury writers such as Arthur Miller,
Tennessee Williams, Samuel Beckett
and more to explore their work, the
characters they created and the
phenomenon of the late-modern and
postmodern eras, as well as allowing
participants the opportunity to practise
staging and performing some scenes
from these plays.
