It nurtures relieving stress in a safe and effective format. Have the belly of your dreams! All fitness levels can truly be accommodated in every class. No previous experience needed. Dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. Learn how to approach and create a piece of choreography by identifying the components. The emphasis is on: style, composition, context, musical elements, improvised movement, transitions and interpretation. A great start to create any kind of choreography! Feel the rhythm of Rio’s samba, experience hot Cuban cha-cha and rumba, travel back to the 60s with jive and rock ‘n’ roll, float on the floor in a smooth waltz or foxtrot, or fire up with the tango. This is the perfect opportunity to have fun and try something new! No partner required. This class focuses on the rhythm of the breath and freeing tension from within the body, while becoming aware of the spine and the use of gravity to support the body in movement. All movement flows from and through the spine. Awareness of posture and habits helps us to release tension and regain grace, inner strength and freedom. This gentle but intense hatha yoga class offers individual attention and handson correction. Bring a yoga mat. In this fun class you will learn the technical skills needed to develop a basic contemporary dance technique, whether you’re a complete beginner or have done some other type of dance before. This class begins with warm-up exercises and leads on to travelling work and exploration of choreography. During these sessions you will learn contemporary technique and improve performance skills whilst having fun.
