La ' Farrah Y . Davis is the founder and serves as the President of the Heart & Soul Youth Fine Arts Club . The club was created with the purpose to create an outlet for the youth of Putnam County who have the heart and soul to display their gifts and talents through the art of dance , drama and music . - " It ' s more than dance ; it ' s the opportunity to empower ."
After cheering professionally and serving as the Cheer Group 4 Captain for the Jacksonville Jaguars for five consecutive years , La ' Farrah decided it was time to hang up her porn-porns and give back to her hometown community by striving to make a difference in the lives of the youth who may have the desire to follow their dreams in fine arts
La ' Farrah has always had the desire to serve through involvement with the youth to empower them that all things are possible through Christ which strengthens them . With the limited extra-activities for youth in Putnam County , La ' Farrah wanted to ensure that there was an outlet for those youth who parents didn ' t have the proper means to afford a dance class to learn how to dance , attend a youth cheerleading camp , participate in motivational / education activities and perform in musical / dance productions .
Founding the Heart & Soul Youth Fine Arts Club for the youth was indeed in my purpose because as a little girl I grew up in a single parent household where my single parent mother would do her very best to always keep my siblings and I involved in everything she could to keep us on the path towards excellence .
The Heart & Soul Youth Fine Arts has definitely made a positive impact in the lives of the youth of Putnam County and other surrounding counties . The club meets every Saturday to hold Saturday Dance Classes for all ages between 3-19 and have hosted Family Night of Reading with the Players and Cheerleaders at the Palatka Headquarters Library ( Summer Reading Program ), 2 in 1 Youth Football and Cheer Clinic and the Holiday Nutcracker . Not only do I have the desire to provide activities for the youth but , my desire is to also help develop skills and confidence in youth that insures their future success .
The weekend of December 17 , 2016 , the Heart & Soul Youth Fine Arts Club presented its 1 st Annual " Holiday Nutcracker " to the Palatka community . The production included young boys , young girls and young adults from Jacksonville , Orlando and Palatka . It is La ' Farrah ' s desire to take the production on the road and travel from city to city to showcase the talents of local youth participants in the production . All funds received from the production goes towards the Heart &
