There ' s a new Oviedo Medical Center being built in Oviedo , Florida . The hospital will be built on 48 acres of land at the intersection of Red Bug Lake Road and Broadway Street ( S . R . 426 ) adjacent to S . R . 417 . The hospital construction project will include expansion of the Oviedo ER to provide more emergency beds as well as a full range of medical and surgical inpatient units , an intensive care unit , inpatient and outpatient surgery , labor and delivery , and diagnostic services .

HCA BREAKS GROUND ON OVIEDO MEDICAL CENTER
Eddie G . Brooks , Sr . is the Hospital Representative for the New Oviedo Medical Center under construction in Oviedo , Florida . The nation ' s largest healthcare company , broke ground on a new 64-bed acute care hospital in Oviedo . Oviedo Medical Center will be built on the same property where Oviedo ER , a freestanding emergency department that is affiliated with Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford , Florida . Oviedo ER will be expanded to 22 beds and will become the Oviedo Medical Center emergency department . In addition to 24 / 7 emergency care , the new hospital will bring a full range of healthcare services to east Seminole County and surrounding communities . Services will include medical and surgical inpatient units , intensive care , medical cardiology , telemetry , cardiac catheterization , inpatient and outpatient surgery , women ' s services including labor and delivery , cardiopulmonary services , comprehensive diagnostic imaging and physical , occupational and speech therapy . When it opens in 2017 , Oviedo Medical Center is expected to serve more than 35,000 patients in its first year .
