Take it to the Limit!
You’re Living the Only
Life God Gave YOU!

No story is complete without a plan of action. Therefore, the next
few chapters contain jewels to help you make and take it to the
limit. As Pastors, we teach money, preach money and profess
money but by many standards we are dumb when it comes to
money. Kevin Thomas, a friend and mortgage broker who has
helped me teach financial stewardship to God’s people has penned
a few words about starting a financial plan before the money comes.
Greetings! I wanted to start my writing by ending with the last
question that Pastor D. asked. Is money working for or against
you? This is a question that must be answered by all… seeing that
we live in a society built on capitalism.
Dr. Anthony D. Davis Sr.
I know that you are wondering… I thought this guy was going to
tell me how to earn money. I just did. Money has limits. God has
No Limits. Money can not buy one thing that God gives you for
free, and God can give you everything that money can buy.
So, is it better to build your life on a foundation that has limits, or
build your life on a foundation that has No Limits? I do not know
about you, but I want to build my life with No Limits.
For most people, money is working against them. Why? The
majority in America think that having money is the beginning of
knowledge, when the bible speaks contrary to this system of
thought. In Proverbs 1:7, it states, “The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of knowledge”. We Americans consciously and unconsciously fear and respect money, over fearing and respecting God.
We are killing ourselves striving to be rich and famous, but it is a
rare occurrence to see someone striving to be with God. You want
to know why money is not working for us. It is simple. We love
money more than we love God. We fear not having green paper
with Dead Presidents on it, more than we fear God.
I will leave you with these two scriptures to think about:
You may ask why should I fear God, money makes the world go
around. At No Limit, you are taught that money can not make you,
and you can not make money (the Federal Reserve has the monopoly on that). All you can do is learn the principles to earning
money. Well… how do I formulate a plan on how to earn money
you may ask?
It is my hopes, that in future articles, I can address issues that are
relevant to you. Therefore, other that dealing with issues like being
a Father and domestic violence, I would ask you the subscribers of
this awesome Christian news journal to email mail with topics that
are near to your hearts or interest.
In America, we are taught to respect and fear losing the things that
money can buy. Some of the items that we fear losing include
houses, cars, jewelry, furniture, computers, plasma TV’s etc, etc,
etc. Can we, for a moment, look at the things that God gave us at
birth for free? Long before we knew about the existence of money
God gave us our sight, our hearing, and our ability to feel. Not one
time have we had to tell our hearts to beat or tell our eyes to blink.
For free we have been given the ability to love, imagine, create, and
be compassionate. Every Human Being that has ever walked this
Earth, God gave him/her their own set of eyes, their own footprint,
their own fingerprints, and their own DNA. After you die, God will
not make another like you. We have at no cost, the sun, the moon,
the stars, oxygen and gravity. We take all of these things for
granted, while at the same time fear the little things that money can
do for us.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who
giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (1Timothy 6:17)
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the
Lord, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14)
The information provided by Kevin above is my attempt to marry
the practical and the spiritual. God has called us to serve as ambassadors to this world and, as such, we must not live just by faith but
more importantly by wisdom.
As a Pastor, it’s important to feed the people of God – No! It’s vital
to the life of the church – God’s People – to feed the people. This
means I need to know where your hunger pains exist. For me just
to write about the goodness of Jesus would be out of the will of
God. I must stand as a Priest, appointed by God and address the
areas in life that many will not address. People must know the
Word of God and not just the opinion of man.
So join me as we take it to the LIMIT! Please email me your concerns and I will respond either directly and in future
