hinders business growth and job opportunities . We need fresh leaders with fresh new ideas to restore integrity , accountability and help rebuild our city . Lynn Sherman feels she is that person and she is committed to do all she can to make our dreams of a better Jacksonville our new reality .
Lynn has been actively serving her community for a long time , serving on boards of local non-profits such as Family Support Services , Emergency Services Homeless Coalition and the Jacksonville Urban League to help improve the quality of life for people . She has volunteered with local charities such as Community Connections , Northside Community Involvement with the Girls Empowerment Summit .
Over the years she has committed her time and resources to educational and mentoring initiatives such as The Bridge of Northeast Florida to ensure children and young adults have the tools they need to succeed in life . " I serve as the director of Social Responsibility and Community Health for Baptist Health where I ' ve worked for 34 years . I love what I do because it allows me to work outside the wall of the hospital and serve the community ," Lynn explains .
Jacksonville the city we all love has significant challenges in the coming years and I want to go beyond the expectations of the District 8 community and be a change agent for success . We must be ready for these challenges with fresh leadership and new ideas so that together we can empower families to become successful .
