The abuse started at the age of 5 when she was fondled by the son of the drummer from her church . He entered her home while she was asleep . Awaken by his touch , scared and confused , not truly understanding what was happening to her at that tender age but old enough to realize that it wasn ’ t right . Thinking that she had did something wrong she decided not to tell anyone . She instead started reciting the 23rd Psalms . Not realizing this would be the beginning of a turbulent childhood , and the 23rd Psalms would help her walk through the valley of the shadows of death for years to come .

At the age of 8 Destiny was a vibrant and youthful little girl . Happily enjoying her friends from school and her church family . However , her innocence was about to be taken from her once again . A visit to her Aunts home one morning on her way to school , was the start of something unimaginable . As she knocked on the door , someone she knew very well opened the door . Shocked and confused , she realized it was the Bishop from her church . He invited her in and told her to follow him . He led her to a bedroom and told her to lie down . Destiny didn ’ t argue , he was her Bishop , she just obeyed .
