Her company holds honors as the Small Business of the Year by the Tampa Bay MED Week Committee , Small Business of the Month by Lakeland Chamber of Commerce , recognition as a 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year , 2012 Woman of Distinction in Business . She was selected by Florida Trend Magazine as a Floridian You Should Know and recently recognized in the 2013 amd 2014 Tampa Bay Business Journal Book of Lists .
With a purpose driven vision and mission , Sylvia has been asked to design and administer state and national technical support programs for small businesses , as well as , develop public participation programs for numerous government entities . Sylvia travels all over the country as a subject-matter expert . She was selected by Black Enterprise Magazine / Walmart-Sams to participate in their forums called " Taking Your Dreams to Scale " which assisted minority businesses in scaling upward . Sylvia was also selected to serve as an expert panelist to the National Transportation Research Board in Washington , D . C . regarding minority and small businesses issues impacting the ability of these businesses to successfully work on State DOTs projects . Although Sylvia serves as a lead consultant in the Highway Transportation Industry , her expertise is Economic / Business Development , she has used this expertise in the growth of over 10,000 small businesses and to advise government and elected officials , national organizations , large corporations , state and federal agencies in developing equity policies and procurement programs for small businesses in many industries .
