African Americans make up more than 14% of the
United States population. This may sound like a small
figure, but that adds up to nearly 40 million people. As
a group, African American consumers spend nearly one
trillion dollars a year - creating the largest buying
power by far than any other minority group.

people a very valuable group to advertisers and
