1 . Krav Maga is the self-defense system of the Israeli military . Designed to build confidence , speed , and reflexes , you can achieve a strong level of technical proficiency in a short period of time . This is a progressive course with a mixed level of students .
2 . This multi-week , proven protocol , includes prevention , maintenance , and the potential reversal of osteoporosis for men and women . The BEST program , designed by scientists at the University of Arizona , is the gold standard for improving bone health in post-menopausal clients with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis , as well as men experiencing bone loss . Classes are 55 minutes . Maximum class size is five .
3 . Mermaids aren ’ t just for fairy tales . Join us in the pool for a full body , 45 minute workout using a monofin . Water provides low impact resistance training , while the monofin allows you to fully engage your core . You ’ ll leave out of breath from the cardio workout and have new mermaid muscles at the end ! Ages 11-16 .
4 . Join us for a “ pupsicle ” making party ! We ’ ll entertain a visit from the fabulous therapy dogs with Kiernan ’ s Kindness , while we also prepare delicious frozen canine treats for them ! Sparks Club is an all-inclusive social club designed for individuals with disabilities , and open to all .
5 . Enjoy a movie , pizza , and night of swimming with family and friends at the beautiful outdoor pool area at The J . This wonderful summer tradition is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together ! Members : $ 5 / Non-Members $ 8 / 3 and under FREE !
6 . This 16-week template program will help you become the STRON- GEST version of yourself with 4 workouts a week .
7 . A fun way to stay fit ! Learn beginning salsa through a progressive , six-week series , geared toward new dancers . Come alone or with a partner and be prepared to move ! No experience required ! Ages 18 and older .
8 . Balboa is a 1940 ’ s swing dance that ’ s experiencing a modern revival ! Glide to the Big Band classics with this smooth , elegant dance . Rooted in the Jitterbug and Ballroom styles , this six week beginning progressive series will help you develop strong basics and musicality . No partner or experience required !
9 . Ballroom dance incorporates basic principles of movement that are applicable to many physical activities . It ’ s also rich in intrinsic physical and mental value and contributes to increased strength and overall health , improved memory , improved flexibility , agility and balance , cardiovascular benefits , reduced stress , weight loss , and social confidence . In this 6 week class , you will learn the Waltz , Foxtrot , and Tango .

10 . Come and have fun with others with line dancing ! Come as you can each Sunday at 4pm .
11 . Ballroom dance incorporates basic principles of movement that are applicable to many physical activities . It is also rich in intrinsic physical and mental value and contributes to increased strength and overall health . In this 6 week class , you will learn the Push-pull Hustle , Rumba , Cha-Cha , and Swing .
12 . Israeli Dance : Partner and Open Circle , is the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month . Learn a combination of classic / repertoire and newer Israeli partner dances .
13 . Stingrays Swim Levels : Level 1 Introduction and learning of the 4 competitive strokes . Level 2 High-level training concepts and practices , while also continuing the development of proper stroke mechanics . Swimming can promote bad posture if not corrected outside of the water , so this group will now include two dry-land sessions a week to improve strength and flexibility . Swimmers will be encouraged to get into the rhythm of competition . We foresee many of these swimmers participating in SAAA . Level 3 Prepares swimmers for the competitive world at large . These swimmers will be encouraged to learn detailed concepts of discipline , training , and process . We are offering two dry-land sessions dedicated to increasing strength while building physique that will support our body in the water and through our training . An additional two days of dry-land are provided to work specifically on flexibility and recovery . For those who are ready , we will begin to incorporate weight lifting on Saturdays to introduce key movements with proper form so that our swimmers will be fully prepared to train at the college level when that time comes .
14 . Masters swim is an opportunity for a structured , team-style workout in the water with professional , experienced , masters swim coaches . Not for the beginner . If you are looking for a way to improve your stroke technique or for a challenging workout , this program is for you .
15 . Come and join our early morning pickleball group . We have the equipment and the people ! Open to all levels , this drop-in program is year round .
16 . Become a pro at the piano right here at the J ! By appointment only . 60 minute sessions .
17 . Create your own watercolor paintings and gain a better understanding of color and how to paint with watercolors .
18 . Is your child falling behind in school ? Jill is a certified teacher and offers tutoring in all academic areas with all ages . 60 minute sessions .
19 . Enjoy a bite to eat with the ECE directors on the 1st Monday of the month ! Stop by the ECE Mini Museum for muffins , fruit , and coffee to go .
