Please note: the Discount Package and Matinee/Twilight Packages are only available via the Festival website or by telephoning Ticketmaster and cannot be bought through the Ticketmaster or venue websites. 72 Terms and Conditions Fees and Charges Tickets to Festival events are sold by a variety of ticketing agents, each with different booking fees and ticket processing charges. As far as it is possible to calculate, the prices for events listed in this brochure are inclusive of fees and charges. However in most cases additional booking fees will apply, depending upon where you purchase tickets and the method of purchase. Melbourne Festival A transaction fee of $5 is applied for bookings made by mail, fax or online (the Festival office does not take telephone bookings). There is no fee for tickets purchased in person from our desk at Melbourne Visitors Centre, Federation Square. Ticketmaster For most Festival events, tickets purchased from the Ticketmaster website, call centre or outlets attract a transaction fee of $5.50. Tickets to Festival events at the Forum and Regent Theatres attract a transaction fee of $7.75. Arts Centre Melbourne Tickets purchased online or by phone, mail, email or fax will incur a $7.15 transaction fee. There is no fee for tickets purchased in person at the Arts Centre Melbourne box office. The Malthouse All ticket purchases incur a booking fee of $3 per ticket. Melbourne Recital Centre Tickets purchased online or by phone, mail, email or fax attract a transaction fee of $7. There is no fee for tickets purchased in person at the Recital Centre box office. ACMI Tickets purchased online incur a transaction fee of $1. Tickets purchased by phone incur a transaction fee of $2. There is no fee for tickets purchased in person at the ACMI box office. Dancehouse Tickets purchased with a credit card will incur a transaction fee of $0.30. No other transaction fees apply. The Hi-Fi Melbourne Tickets priced $30 or under incur a transaction fee of $4; tickets priced $30–$40 incur a transaction fee of $4.50; tickets priced $40–$50 incur a transaction fee of $5; tickets priced $50+ incur a transaction fee of $5.50. Moshtix outlets may charge an additional fee. Refunds and Exchanges Melbourne Festival regrets that it is not possible to refund completed bookings, except as required by law or in accordance with the LPA Ticketing Code of Conduct. Exchanges are only permitted to another performance of the same event. Any exchanges must be made at the original point of sale and may be subject to exchange fees. Concessions Concession prices apply to persons who are aged 16 years and under, full-time students (including International Student cardholders), full pensioners, Victorian Carer Card holders, welfare benefit recipients and the unemployed. Discounts are also offered to Seniors Card holders and Media Entertainment and Alliance members for selected Festival events. Proof of concession eligibility is required at point of sale and upon entering venues. Companion Cards are honoured, see page 75 for details.
