the string quartet, reborn into a
unique new musical space.
The Australian National Academy of Music
and Bluebottle have teamed up to create
Quartetthaus, a beautiful intimate space,
purpose-built to enable 52 patrons at each
performance to open their minds to the rich
history and contemporary resonance of the
string quartet. In this unique architecture,
music and place become inseparable.
Featuring the musicians of the Academy
in 21 performances, encompassing seven
different programs of adventurous and unique
repertoire, ranging from Purcell to Cage.
