of traditional Hindustani classical music, Kartik
Seshadri and Arup Chattopadhyay come
to Frankston Arts Centre with a remarkable
performance of expressive beauty, rich tonal
sensibility and extraordinary rhythmic intricacy.
Seshadri is a world-renowned sitar virtuoso,
composer, educator and the foremost disciple
of Pandit Ravi Shankar. For this incredible
concert event, he is accompanied by Arup
Chattopadhyay, premier disciple of the worldrenowned maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh and
one of the outstanding and most sought after
tabla artists of the younger generation.

From Venice to Sale comes a group of master
musicians – Interpreti Veneziani. Formed in
1987, the group immediately gained a reputation
for youthful exuberance and all-Italian brio. The
Interpreti is a main attraction in the romantic
city where they play up to 350 concerts a year to
60,000 subscribers in the San Vidal Church.
Interpreti Veneziani perform repertoire
celebrating the work and influence of composers
within the classical canon. Their dedication to
this music is palpable, and the vitality of their
concepts, unforgettable.
