Recent graduates are assets to employers, so don’t accept a job you’re overquali?ed for.” Jonathan VEREECKE Content Project Editor at Cengage Learning Farmington Hills, Michigan Jonathan Vereecke graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in English and an additional major in Professional Writing, concentrating in editing and publishing. Vereecke currently works as a content project editor at Cengage Learning in Farmington Hills, Michigan and says that his favorite part of his job is project management. “I like taking a process from beginning to end. In this case, I take a rough manuscript and process it into a book.” Vereecke explained that PW allowed him to gain focus while also ?nding an industry he would love to work in. “Nothing will happen to you if you don’t do something; volunteer and apply for competitions. Set your sights on temporary or contracting positions. These will keep your résumé active and also lead to more interviews,” he said.
