LaChapell 983M & 983S Mk2 Vacuum Tube Preamps
LaChapell Audio is now shipping two tube-based microphone preamps that call back to the company’s first product, the 992 mic pre – the
single-channel 983M and two-channel 983S Mk2 vacuum tube preamps.
The half-rack, single-channel 983M is aimed at travelling musicians and podcasters, while the two-channel 983SMk2 is a rackmount designed
for studio use. Both are based around a 12AX7/ECC83 tube, and feature high- and low-pass filters with selectable roll-off frequencies, channel
mute, pad and polarity switches, and front-panel high-impedance inputs. Both units also offer True48, a dynamic phantom power supply that
properly powers condenser and active mics.

Antelope Audio Orion 32HD | Gen 3 Audio Interface
Antelope Audio is now shipping the Orion 32HD | Gen 3 64-channel HDX and 64-channel USB 3.0 audio interface.
The Orion 32HD | Gen 3 is compatible with any DAW via HDX or USB 3.0 and is Pro Tools HD- and Native-ready. This third-generation inter-
face features Antelope Audio’s AD/DA, which is boosted to reach 136dB of dynamic range. Comprehensive connectivity allows it to stream
hi-res audio thanks to its back panel-positioned USB 3.0 Type B connector (offering 64 channels of I/O at up to 192 kHz) and also two mini
HDX connectors for direct Pro Tools connection (each offering 32 channels of I/O, totalling 64 channels). Digital I/O is also available over fibre
optic MADI, two ADAT, and S/PDIF connections. The interface also allows for multiple monitor mixes and has four D-SUB 25 connectors cater-
ing to 32 channels of analog-in and four D-Sub 25 connectors for 32 channels of analog-out, plus two monitor outputs on 1/4-in. TRS jacks.

Wisycom MPR50-IFB True-Diversity Receiver
Wisycom has introduced the MPR50-IFB true-diversity receiver. Designed for IFB applications, the compact, belt-pack-
style receiver features wideband tuning up to 232 MHz, multi-companding processing via Wisycom’s ENR or ENC
algorithm, and a custom headphone amplifier designed to maximize headroom to a peak of +23dB.
The MPR50-IFB offers a wide frequency range (470-798 MHz), making it a good solution for cinematic and televi-
sion productions. Its software-selectable narrowband FM-IFB modulation enhances noise immunity and coverage
zones and it can be used as a listen device from any Wisycom MTP bodypack transmitters.
The unit features dedicated function buttons and an OLED display, along with transmission and receiver sync
functionality. It also features automatic receiver programming via the integrated Rx Manager application, micro-
USB cables, or an optional Wisycom UPKmini Infrared Programming Kit.
