PRODUCTS Point Source CO2 Confidence Collection Microphones Point Source Audio is now shipping the CO2 Confidence Collection of headset, earmount, and lavalier microphones. All the CO2 microphones feature built-in redundancy, a small form factor, IP57 waterproof rating, sonically matched elements, and locking X-Connectors. The microphones integrate two of the company’s first-to-market fea- tures in miniature microphones: an IP57 waterproof rating and the “unbreakable” headset boom, bendable to 360 degrees to bolster durability. The double miking setup of the CO2 Confidence Collection comes in three styles: headset, lavalier, and in Point Source Audio’s Embrace embodiment. The mics’ new small form factor is based on the company’s existing omnidirectional single element microphones of 3 mm and are all waterproof. The backup element is fashioned to the existing mic in tandem and where the independent and continuous wire paths are integrated into a singular wire jacket, giving audio technicians a clean alternative to cable dressing. Drawmer 1974 & 1976 Stereo Analog FET-Based Processors DRAWMER 1974 Drawmer Electronics has introduced two products to its 1970s series of vintage-inspired FET units. They are the 1974 four-band stereo parametric EQ and the 1976 stereo three-band saturation and width processor. Offering one set of controls for both audio channels, the 1974 has four bands of EQ with variable low/high-cut filters and fully-variable bandwidth for the parametric mid-bands. There are switchable slopes and a low peak switch to hone in on the low end of the spectrum. The potentiometers are indented for quicker and easier settings recall. The 1976 is about analog saturation over three bands: lows, mids, and highs. In addition to the enhancement provided by the saturation, their stereo width can be adjusted with one set of controls: Saturate, Width, and Level for the three bands and Crossover for the low and high bands. Though a stereo unit, the 1976 can also operate in mono via a switch. For more information, contact TransAudio Group: 702-365-5155, FAX 702-365-5145, [email protected], www.transaudiogroup.com. Roswell Delphos II Studio Condenser Microphone Roswell Pro Audio is now shipping the Delphos II all-purpose studio condenser microphone. The original Delphos featured an un-hyped and natural frequency response, high sensitivity, and low self-noise. The Delphos II retains the characteristics of the original and adds a third polar pattern (figure eight) and refined electronics designed to reduce ultrasonic noise. The updated microphone features a new, larger body adorned in custom metallic blue paint. The Delphos II uses a highly optimized transformerless circuit, which is designed to provide a very clear, low- distortion signal path. Two switches provide a choice of cardioid, omni, and figure eight polar patterns, as well as a 10dB pad. The mic has a frequency range of 20 Hz to 16 kHz, with a response curve tailored to provide full lows, neutral mids, and high-frequency detail without sibilance. Its sensitivity is 40mV/Pa, with a self-noise level conservatively rated at 12dBA.
