PRODUCTS KRK Rokit G4 Studio Monitors KRK Systems is now shipping the Rokit G4 studio monitor range. This fourth-generation monitor range includes 5-, 7-, 8-, and 10-in. models, which have been reengineered and re-designed. The G4 monitors incorporate many of the features of KRK’s professional-grade V Series 4 monitors, bringing improvements and enhance- ments to the Rokit line. The Rokit G4s feature an onboard DSP-driven graphic EQ with 25 settings to help condition acoustic environments while improving versatility. They also feature an LCD screen to display DSP-driven EQ settings. Additionally, all system elements of the Rokit G4 monitors are cohesively designed and engineered to work with the advanced Kevlar drivers, efficient Class D power amplifiers, and front- firing port, which collectively extend accurate and tight bass reproduction and improve audio integrity while minimizing listening fatigue. Alcons Audio CRS8/9090 Immersive Monitor System Alcons Audio has introduced the CRS8/9090 immersive monitor, which is designed to meet all require- ments of current and future immersive surround sound formats. Featuring Alcons’ pro-ribbon driver technology, the CRS8 is a two-way, passive-filtered full-range loudspeaker. It’s designed to combine clarity and intelligibility with an unusually high dynamic range, offering more realistic sound reproduction. The CRS8/9090 system consists of the RBN401 pro-ribbon driver for HF and a vented 8-in. mid-bass for LF reproduction. The CRS8 HF section has an 800-W peak power input, enabling a unique 1:16 dynamic range with up to 90 per cent less distortion from 1 kHz to beyond 20,000 Hz. Due to the “compression-less” principle of the pro-ribbon transducer technology, the system has a fully linear response, with the same tonal balance at all SPLs for an intuitive 1:1 performance. The 90-degree horizontal and vertical dispersion of the waveguide offers wide and consistent coverage up to the highest frequencies (20 kHz -3dB). Lectrosonics M2C Active Antenna Combiner Lectrosonics has introduced the M2C active antenna combiner. Up to eight transmitter sources can feed one antenna to minimize cabling in multi-channel systems. The M2C inputs are isolated to mini- mize crosstalk and IM (intermodulation) between RF channels. The overall architecture provides improved RF performance with low power consumption and heat buildup. Front panel LED indicators display active status of RF inputs and a USB port is provided for firmware updates. The M2C is a 1 RU, AC mains-powered, fan-cooled unit with eight 50-ohm BNC input ports and one 50-ohm BNC output port. The frequency range for the M2C is 470-614 MHz and the unit accepts input sources up to 100 mW, while RF gain through the system is at unity.
