NAB Show Explores The M . E . T . Effect , Features 4K Live Stream from Space
The National Association of Broadcasters ( NAB ) announced a preliminary registered attendance of 103,443 for the 2017 NAB Show , the world ’ s largest annual convention encompassing the convergence of media , entertainment , and technology . The show took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 22-27 . The exhibition featured 1,806 companies spanning 1,091,792 sq . ft . of exhibit space .
The theme of this year ’ s NAB Show was The M . E . T . Effect , with several conference sessions and show features examining the convergence in the once distinct fields of media , entertainment , and technology . The education program was specifically tailored to showcase all aspects of The M . E . T . Effect and its impact on the media and entertainment industries .
As well , a diverse array of leading industry professionals highlighted the latest advances in streaming , engineering , and content creation – including NASA debuting the first-ever live 4K video stream from space during the Super Session “ Reaching for the Stars : Connecting to the Future with NASA and Hollywood .”
