Drifter Rigging Launches New Website
Following its inauguration in 2017, Toronto’s Drifter Rigging has
launched its new website at DrifterRigging.com.
Drifter Rigging is an automation rental house that specializes in
touring, arena, and event rigging and load monitoring. Production
veteran Mark “Drifter” Desloges launched the company in the spring of
2017 with the aim of offering the Canadian market access to the most
widely-used automation products for mid- to higher-range produc-
tions. The company’s first formal job was the extensive automation
for the 2017 Calgary Stampede’s Grandstand stage, featuring Drifter
Rigging’s Kinesys Elevation 1+ variable speed chain hoists and Libra
load cells.
The new website features videos and photos of demos and projects, as well as rental, project, and contact information.

WFW Expands February
Freeze to Two Days
William F. White is preparing to host the
17 th annual edition of February Freeze. This
technology showcase is a pre-NAB exhibit
that lets production professionals navigate
the latest innovations and technologies
while connecting with one another. This
year, the event has expanded to two days,
Feb. 6 th and 7 th , and will once again be held
at the William F. White Centre in Toronto.
Day one of February Freeze, from 1-9
p.m., will host the expected technological
showcase with over 50 varied vendors
onsite. That day will also include industry
panels and an interactive set. Day two fea-
tures a full day of scheduled programming
with educational product demonstrations
from equipment developers from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
Production professionals, students,
and anyone with an interest in production
technologies are invited to take part in free
workshops, seminars, and panel discus-
sions, participate in demos, ask questions
to industry leaders, and test new equip-
ment onsite.
