SIGNALS SSL Joins Audiotonix Group, Now Distributing Direct in Canada Audiotonix has acquired Solid State Logic (SSL), which now joins an ex- panding group of com- panies including Digico, Digigrid, Calrec, and Allen & Heath. As well, SSL has an- nounced it will take over its own Canadian distribution, which will be handled out of its Los Angeles and New York offices. Iconic musician AUDIOTONIX CEO JAMES GORDON Peter Gabriel, the majority shareholder in SSL, becomes an investor in Audiotonix as part of the transaction. “To reach our full potential, we need the support and resources of a larger group to help us achieve our aspirations,” says Antony David, managing director of SSL. “Audiotonix’s success in investing in and nurturing similar audio-focused businesses was crucial to us. Once we got talking, we quickly discovered that this was something we both wanted to happen.” Regarding Canadian distribution, SSL’s L.A. office will handle distribution to British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the territories while SSL’s New York office will oversee distribution to Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces.
