CITT/ICTS is preparing to welcome the Canadian entertainment industry to Montreal for the fourth annual Expo-Scène trade show and conference, which is returning to the Palais des congrès de Montréal from March 28-29, 2018. Expo-Scène is currently the only major Canadian event dedicated to professionals in the pro audio, sound, lighting, audiovisual, video, and multimedia technology markets. Organizers say this year’s sold-out tradeshow will feature a bigger hall and more exhibit space, hosting more than 70 exhibitors showcasing hundreds of products and new technologies. They are expecting around 1,500 attendees from around North America. Educational seminars in French and English are scheduled on both days of the show. Among the audio-related seminars are an AV-over-IP class from Techni+Contact, Axient digital wireless training from Shure, simplified networks from QSC, Digico SD Series training from GerrAudio, and a seminar on system design and tuning from Meyer Sound. Within the educational program and show floor there is a greater emphasis this year on health, with free hearing tests being offered by Workplace Medical Corp. As well, the Mental Health Commission of Canada will have a booth and present a seminar on workplace mental health. A representative from Cardiac Science Québec will also teach attendees about how rapid response with a defibrillator is the main factor in reanimation interventions. Visitor registration, as well as a list of exhibitors, is available at www.citt.org/exposcene. PROFESSIONAL SOUND 11 Educational Schedule Released for Expo-Scène 2018
