Solotech Appoints Omar Prashad as Ontario Sales Director
OMAR PRASHAD
Solotech ’ s Sales and Systems Integration Division has announced the appointment of Omar Prashad as its sales director for Ontario . Prashad will assume leadership of the Toronto and Ottawa sales teams , with the objective of augmenting Solotech ’ s business position while growing revenue and market share in the province .
Prashad comes to Solotech with more than 15 years of experience in the systems integration business , namely at Westbury National , Advanced Presentation Solutions , and DuoCom Canada . The company says he will oversee the development of key existing accounts in the live performance and entertainment sectors , while ensuring a diversification strategy to penetrate promising market segments such as corporate and education .

Over 4,000 Worldwide Attendees Take in AES Virtual Fall 2020 Convention
The Audio Engineering Society ( AES ) says that from the opening of Audio Engineering Month to the final week of the livestreamed Technical Program and featured events , the AES Show Fall 2020 Convention garnered overwhelming support from attendees , presenters , and exhibitors .°
Nearly 4,400 AES Show attendees logged on from 70 countries to take in over 300 livestreamed sessions hosted by more than 600 presenters and panelists on all things audio , from workshops on the latest tools and techniques , to the Special Events series featuring FINNEAS , Jackson Browne and friends , Imogen Heap , Platinum Panel sessions , and more . A wealth of research papers and engineering briefs were also presented during the final week of the AES Show , continuing the scientific and educational insights that are hallmarks of AES conventions .
