SIGNALS David Scheirman Takes Over as AES President DAVID SCHEIRMAN David Scheirman has begun his new role as president of the Audio Engineering Society. Scheirman has served three terms on the AES board of governors, along with numerous roles and chair positions at AES conventions and within the AES committee system. Currently, he holds the position of director of global concert and rental business at Bose Professional. “I’m honoured to have been elected president of the AES by our membership,” says Scheirman, “and the timing takes place as our society moves forward with so many promis- ing initiatives, like our collaborative events and our membership growth activities in China and elsewhere across the globe. Derek Black Joins HHB Canada as Broadcast & Systems Sales Manager HHB Canada has appointed Derek Black to the new role of broadcast and systems sales manager. In his new position, Black will service HHB’s broadcast and systems clients and dealers in conjunction with Sales Manager Norman Verrall. Together, they will be responsible for managing the company’s independent broadcast and systems sales reps. HHB CANADA’S DEREK BLACK Marc Bertrand Joins Adamson as Managing Director of Americas Adamson Systems Engineering has appointed audio industry veteran Marc Bertrand to the role of managing director for Adamson Americas.
