SOLOTECH - Audiovisual Installation Technician Region : Ottawa Full Time : Yes Permanent : Yes
Job Summary : Reporting to the Director of Operations , the Installation Technician is responsible for executing installation work and ensures the start-up of audiovisual equipment for our permanent installation projects .
Your day will look like this :
• Installation of audiovisual equipment and accessories for clients
• Set up equipment , carry out tests and validation according to norms , plans , and specifications
• Work closely with Project Managers , in order to know the specific needs of the clients
• Familiarize the clients with the functioning of our equipment
• Represent Solotech with clients
• Ensure the trucks as well as the warehouse are clean and organized
• Keep updated and in sufficient quantity the inventory of the trucks ’ equipment
• Manipulate , transport and use tools , equipment , materials and required vehicles to install audiovisual equipment
• Remain up to date when it comes to new products and technological developments in the audiovisual field
• Ensure to respect the health and safety rules and requirements applicable to the projects
Your profile :
• CTA or Professional Diploma in audiovisual / electronic or equivalent ( an asset )
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the integration / installation of audiovisual equipment field
• Knowledge of sound systems , lighting , video and / or video conference control equipment
• Knowledge of carpentry : chemical and mechanical anchorage , passing cabling , etc .
• Possess the AV products

manufacturer ’ s certification ( an asset )
• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of Autocad Viewer , an asset
• Possess a valid driver ’ s license as well as a good driving file . Possess a vehicle for occasional travel
• Possess a valid passport ( an asset )
• Able to obtain the federal government ’ s security accreditation
• Fluency in both official languages , spoken and written
• Holds the ASP Construction training ( an asset )
