Montreal-based visual design practice Luz Studio , headed by Matthieu Larivée , created the eye-catching production design at the core of French-Canadian singer and impressionist Véronic DiCaire ’ s Showgirl tour , which was cut short because of the pandemic . Larivée proposed a harmonious and integrated set , lighting , and video design that featured dozens of Robe fixtures , including 28 MegaPointes , 12 Spiiders , six BMFL Blades , and two BMFL Spots used with a RoboSpot remote follow-spotting system .
This year , COVID-19 restrictions prevented festival-goers from shouldering their way through the bustling streets of Montreal ’ s Little Italy during the Italian Week festivities , but they were able to enjoy the music , art , fashion , and culture thanks to the festival ’ s decision to move to a livestream format . Taking place in the Leonardo da Vinci Theatre , the week of hour-long programs featured Moda Sotteo Le Stelle ( Fashion Under the Stars ) as well as a variety of musical performances . The lighting design by Gil Perron was anchored by Chauvet Professional Maverick and COLORado fixtures supplied by LSM Ambiocreateurs .
