Registration Open for 2018 USITT Conference & Stage Expo & New World Rigging Symposium USITT’s 2018 Conference and Stage Expo runs from March 14-17 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Early bird registration is now open until Dec. 7, 2017. The 2018 show will feature more than 260 conference sessions and 300 exhibi- tors in a hands-on showcase of the latest in live entertainment technology. As well, ESTA has announced that the New World Rigging Symposium will be held in conjunction with the USITT Conference and Stage Expo. Conference sessions will be offered across 12 learning tracks in archi- tecture, costuming, engineering, lighting design, scenic design, technical production, management, safety and health, and sound design. As well, the first-ever Props Lab offers hands-on experience on the Stage Expo floor. The lab will provide demonstrations and training activities led by proper- ties masters, educators, artisans, puppet makers, and fight masters. Additionally, ESTA and USITT have announced the session lineup for the New World Rigging Symposium, taking place March 13-14, 2018 in conjunc- tion with the USITT Conference and Stage Expo. In these 10 sessions, participants will be given the opportunity to further their technical knowledge, keep up to date with codes and standards, and learn what it’s like to work as a rigger in other segments of the entertainment industry.
