Robert Juliat Oz & Alice LED Followspots Robert Juliat has introduced two new LED followspot models: the Oz and Alice. The fixtures feature a 600-W cool white LED source and the same functions and characteristics offered by the Robert Juliat Compact range. The long-throw Oz and short-throw Alice are the company’s first LED professional followspots to deliver a high output comparable with that of 1,200-W discharge fol- lowspots. Their compact dimensions and silent operation are coupled with the benefits of no heat, smooth electronic dimming – locally or remotely via DMX – and no lamp- change for less maintenance. Ayrton Merak Compact Wash Fixture Ayrton has introduced the Merak compact wash fixture. The Merak fixtures features a proprietary 10:1 optical zoom system, combined with a 250-W low-etendue, and RGBW multichip LED module. The 7- to 70-degree zoom employs light pipe technology paired with a new tex- tured Fresnel lens design to ensure homog- enous colour mixing regardless of the colour combination selected. With its single-source transmitting lens, the Merak casts crisp light and shadows. The fixture is also equipped with a de-focusable rotating beam shaping optic. The fixture also features a next-gener- ation power supply that incorporates active power factor correction (PFC) and a DC/DC converter in a compact module for more than 95 per cent efficiency. A new liquid cooling system is also employed, which permits the fixture to operate in all positions.
