Vectorworks 2018 Design & BIM Software Vectorworks has released the 2018 edition of its namesake software. The release includes Vector- works Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Designer, and Fundamentals, as well as Vision. New this year is Braceworks, a structural load analysis add-on module targeted to designers and riggers working on temporary entertainment structures. With the addition of Braceworks to the entertainment portfolio that already includes the Spotlight and Vision software, entertainment professionals can complete their entire workflow, from design to documentation to production, in one interface. Also, Vectorworks’ worksheet capabili- ties have been simplified, which makes it easier for users to create custom reports from model or drawing data. New in Vectorworks 2018, multiple views of a project can be used simultaneously and users can begin work in one view pane and finish it in another. Users can edit models directly from viewports, allowing them to add openings, align and distribute windows, reposition doors across multiple lay- ers, and reshape walls. There is a new zoom option for video and blended screens, making it easier to manage the planning and visualization of video screens in designs. Martin Rush MH 10 Beam FX LED Moving Head Martin Professional, a division of Harman Professional Solutions, has launched the Rush MH 10 Beam FX, which is a compact LED beam mov- ing head fixture with an independent, built-in LED ring. The Rush MH 10 Beam FX features 24 individually-controllable LEDs surrounding a central beam lens. The addition of the LED ring provides lighting designers for touring, night- life, and house of worship applica- tions with a new visual element at a lower price point than previously available. This compact 60-W RGBW LED moving head fixture offers tight beam effects using a collimator lens design, creating a high-intensity look on stage. The LEDs on the MH 10 Beam blend well with Martin Mac Aura, Rush MH 6, and Rush Par 2 fixtures, providing enhanced colour mixing capabilities.
