Preparations are underway for NAMM ’ s Believe in Music Week , an online event replacing The 2021 NAMM Show and running from Monday , Jan . 18 to Friday , Jan . 22 , 2021 . NAMM says the virtual event will showcase some of the best content from The NAMM Show , combined with robust product discovery and networking opportunities . It promises to engage a broad audience that goes beyond that of a physical event .
“ While not The NAMM Show or a virtual trade show , the initiative will meet the immediate business needs of NAMM member companies through thought-leader-led education for all segments of the industry , networking and AI matchmaking , and business-to-business-focused opportunities to reaffirm and grow business connections , launch new products , share brand initiatives , and engage with customers in real-time ,” NAMM says .
Powered by AI and matchmaking software , NAMM says the platform will connect buyers and sellers through an interactive marketplace and provide sellers with detailed reports of leads and their activities , helping to measure ROI . Exhibitors will also have access to turnkey , multimedia-rich profile pages that feature video and product information , and be able to engage consumers with live chats , polls , and Q & As . Sellers can also segment groups by region and interest , granting meetings with their reps to qualified buyers .
The new Believe in Music TV will feature a series of channels with programming that includes some of the most popular education and entertainment from The NAMM Show , along with new content to inspire and connect the global music and events communities .
A variety of educational sessions will explore the latest tips , ideas , and networking opportunities to help professionals build their businesses and careers . Rather than simply transferring its usual NAMM U and TEC Tracks sessions to an online , webinar-type format , NAMM is planning to create and commission a lot of engaging , recorded educational videos that will sometimes also feature a live text-based Q & A in order to better utilize the platform and keep viewers engaged .

2021 NAB Show Moved from April to October
The National Association of Broadcasters ( NAB ) is moving its 2021 show from April to October . Originally scheduled for April 10-14 , the show is now scheduled for Oct . 9-13 , 2021 at the Las Vegas Convention Center .
“ We recognize the vital role NAB Show plays as a driver of innovation and an economic engine for the global media and entertainment industry . With that in mind , it is critical we act on your behalf and in a way that will best serve the long-term interests of the industry . We have worked diligently over the last few weeks and months monitoring a range of variables , including health and safety concerns , economic indicators , industry developments , and travel restrictions , to gain an understanding of overall trends and future conditions for holding a major event in 2021 . We have also reached out extensively to the show community to collect feedback ,” NAB says in its announcement . “ Through all of this we have witnessed growing concern and uncertainty over what the next six months will bring – enough that there appears to be a good deal of reluctance around participating in large events in the first half of next year . The pandemic remains a significant threat and the evidence suggests it will be well into next year before it could be under control in the U . S . We also have our own concerns around being able to deliver the type of event in April that will not only drive results , but one that can be produced safely for all involved and without significant limitations on the experience .”
Moving the main NAB Show to October also means the association is now looking for alternative dates for the 2021 NAB Show New York , which is typically held that month . Also , the 2021 Radio Show will now co-locate with the NAB Show in Las Vegas , as will NAB ’ s Sales and Management Television Exchange .
