" The NPHC works to aid the Bahamian society in areas where we fall short: education, charity, and children." Outside of the Organization's programs, and very few others such as Gentleman's Club, Brownies, Choirs, Performing Art Programs and Debutantes, there are no positive adult groups that give children a structure to look up to. Mr. Smith expressed his gratitude for the brothers and sisters that he has gained from his experience and choice to join a fraternity. He spoke on its influence which made him the leader he is, and how it gave him the drive to excel in so many areas of his life, family wise and career wise. There are so many young individuals that look up to Mr. Smith, who has been such an amazing example in his Fraternity, in his Organization, and even in his personal life. " Since I was young I was surrounded by role models who have been a part of Fraternities. My mentor, my father, and even the most significant black men and women were in Fraternities and Sororities." Martin Luther King, Phylicia Rashard, Rosa Parks and Michael Jordan, among many others, are examples of black famous people who have pledged, but also benefitted their community through unity, and have been good examples to generations of children to come. The NPHC has built its foundation on the children of our nation, and the build with the learning blocks of charity, respect and goals. They supply children with attainable rewards to work and strive towards: the rewards of a bright future and a supportive family that will follow them to every corner of the world, and carry them through every trial and tribulation that they may possibly face. Though each chapter is private, they come together through one organization to uplift and encourage the next generation of leaders.
