Paul A. O. Fernander Trot for Tots 242 announces that Mr. Paul A. O. Fernander is a proud executive board member of the Trot for Tots Committee and welcomes his participation and commitment to our initiative. Mr. Fernander, the Special Project Coordinator at Guardian Media Group, is an integral member of the committee based on his expertise and experience in Fund Raising and Charitable initiatives in The Bahamas. Mr. Fernander is a past Fund Raising Chairman and President of the ZNS Hill Thrillers Sports & Social Club during the 1980s and1990s. During 1997 Mr. Fernander assisted with the creation of More 94.9 FM’s Secret Santa program. Each year the Program provided persons with the opportunity to pick a Pediatric Aids child’s name off a Christmas tree and present them with a present. In 1998 Mr. Fernander developed the fundraising initiative called Operation Adam that help raise funds for Adam Johnson, a rare cancer patient. In 2003 Mr. Fernander and the Marketing staff of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas created the Dollars for Scholars promotion and Telethon that provided two Dell computers for every Family Island School. In 2010 Mr. Fernander also conceptualized and assisted the Kiwanis Club of New Providence with the execution of the promotion Operation Green, three Dynamite Days, Five Fantastic Events to raise funds for the Ranfurly Home and Adventure Learning Centre. The five events were Operation Green Pins for Pals Bowl A Thon, Mario's Celebrity Bowl Off, Go Green T-Shirt Day Operation Green Kids Fun Day and "Da Green Party Concert Old School Bahamian vs. Nu School Bahamian. Now working with the Guardian Media Group Mr. Fernander has assisted with the development of the Stocking Stuffer Christmas program, which provides hundreds of toys for under privilege children each year in Nassau and Grand Bahama. Mr. Fernander has also co- produced the Help Us Help Haiti Telethon, The Cancer Society’s Building Hope Telethon and the Rebuild Bahamas Telethon for victims of Hurricane Joaquin. Mr. Fernander also assisted with the creation and execution of Colina's and Guardian Media Group's Operation Joaquin Relief & Operation Full Restoration, an initiative that send twenty pallets of relief supplies to Acklins and Crooked Island. Mr. Fernander is also a Consultant & Grill Master to Goal-Den Sisterhood a non-profit group of young ladies that organizes an event that provides over 300 back-packs, school supplies, soft drinks and a healthy meal to primary school children in different communities each August.
