Bianca Bethel-Sawyer, the woman behind the locally and internationally
known brand “BBS” is a Bahamian communications expert, marketing and
events strategist, social media specialist, an adept and well-respected
freelance writer and a successful entrepreneur. Bianca, who has nearly a
decade of experience in the above-mentioned areas currently holds a
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism as well as an Associate’s Degree in
Communications. Being the woman that she is, completely dedicated to
self-improvement and high achievement, Bianca is also currently in the
process of pursuing her Master’s Degree in Communications.
In 2004, Bianca began her career in journalism where she worked until
2010. Following that, she transitioned into the Marketing & Public
Relations field which she has come to master through hard work and dedication.
Bianca has played an integral role in the success of internationally recognized events particularly the
2014 IAAF World Relays where Bianca served as the communications coordinator. In 2015, she again
worked on the IAAF World Relays team, but as the Senior Director of Communications & Marketing. She
successfully led the team responsible for developing communication & marketing strategies for the
country’s biggest sporting event.
From 2015 – 2016, Bianca served as the PR Officer for the National Training Agency. Today, Bianca is the
Events, Sponsorship & Community Manager at Aliv where she has been since September of 2016. Being
an individual who understands the importance of community service, Bianca has used her role at ALIV to
ensure that the company is ever-present in the community.
Bianca remains very active in her community and has been involved with six organizations.
In her spare time, Bianca provides event management, public relations, social media management and
marketing services to a variety of clients. She also runs a successful online business. In 2018, Bianca will
officially launch her brand “BBS Marketing & Consultation”.
