She has started and operates several businesses including Out of the Box Market Research Group, Blue Marlin Corporate Concierge Services, and Raquel Beneby Inc. Raquel is an Award winning Fortune 500 Trained International Business Development Strategist, Marketing Specialist, and Publicist. Sponsored by the Caribbean Export Development Agency, she is a 2014 graduate of ProNet - A Business Management Training Programme for SME having studied Business Strategies, Cost & Financial Management, and Export Marketing. She is also a 2011 graduate of the Academy of International Business Officials in Beijing, China has studied ‘Trade and the Environment for Developing Countries’. Raquel has over 20 years of combined experience in Marketing, Branding, Communications, Training, and Events Management having worked with notable international brands such as Xerox, IBM, Riso Inc., Burger King and Pollo Tropical and A-list celebrities. She is a member of Toastmasters International, the International Institute of Marketing Professionals and has represented the Bahamas on the International Advisory Council of Marketing Professionals. Raquel’s leadership has given her opportunities to serve as a Director with the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (2011-2013) co-chairing the Small Business Development and Education Committees. She is also a past Executive Director for the Downtown Freeport Business Association (DFBA). In her current position as Personal Assistant to the Minister of State for Grand Bahama in the Office of the Prime Minister, she is the liaison for the Minister’s office for investor, diplomatic, stakeholder and community relations. Raquel has led the team in organizing the first Grand Bahama Technology Summit that is paving the way for Grand Bahama has an offshore technology hub.
