Smith is the former co-host of Bahamas @ Sunrise , a top-rated morning TV show and has hosted The Financial Voice and Cancer Survivor : Wedding in Paradise , a competition that gives cancer survivors a dream wedding . Smith is passionate about fighting cancer . In 2015 , she ran her first half marathon and started a fundraiser to raise money for the Cancer Society ’ s Freedom Kids , a support group for children battling leukemia and sickle cell .
Smith is a frequent collaborator with Kalik , having written numerous ads for the award-winning beer brand .
She is a graduate of Georgia State University where she obtained her bachelor ’ s degree in Journalism and a minor in Spanish . She is certified in marketing strategy from Cornell University and is also a graduate of the former College of The Bahamas and St Anne ’ s High School .
