10. Do we recommend color balancing or pre-treating the hair prior to using The Demi? Color balancing and/or pre-treating can be done when necessary as with any demipermanent color.  Traditional demi-permanent hair color largely deposits on the cuticle layers of the hair. Keep in mind, over-treating with heavy conditioners or treatments that coat the hair could affect deposit and longevity. 11. Can processing time be reduced to have a semi-permanent end result? The Demi is a demi-permanent hair color. Reducing the processing time will affect longevity. Timing can be adjusted up or down, based on hair condition, porosity and desired end results.  For instance: When toning with The Demi, it is recommended to watch deposition and remove when the desired result is achieved. 12. Can The Demi be used for repigmentation? Yes, The Demi delivers excellent repigmentation results. As a neutral pH formulation, this is exceptionally good for highly compromised hair.  If a demi-result is desired, The Demi is an excellent choice.  For permanent color correction results, permanent hair color products offer longer lasting deposition, i.e. Paul Mitchell the color or the color XG®. 13. Can The Demi be used to refresh mid-lengths and ends while a Paul Mitchell permanent hair color is on the base? Yes, absolutely. This will deliver beautiful results, application after application. 14. Can The Demi be applied the same day as a relaxer or permanent wave service? Yes. 15. What is the base of The Demi? It is a mild, shampoo-based formula. 16. Is The Demi paraben-free? Yes. 17. What kind of dyes are used? The Demi contains oxidative dyes that predominantly affect the cuticle layers. 18.
