Paramedic Parkside at By Jess Froggatt F rom splinters to stab wounds and broken bones to bites and stings, knowing how to perform basic first aid is, without question, one of the most important skills anybody can learn. Sometimes, however, these skills just aren’t enough and it is necessary to call in the professionals. Luckily for us, local paramedic and exnurse Hazel was at hand to answer all of our questions at Froggatt First Aid Club! Students, who dedicate their Tuesday lunchtimes to learn life-saving skills, were thrilled when they had the chance to chat to an experienced paramedic about flashing blue lights and the responsibility of having somebody else’s life in your hands.
