KOLORSEAL GOING FOR GROWTH
Following the announce-
ment that the well-established
fenestration colour coating
experts, Kolorseal, has opened a
second facility in West Bromwich,
the company has now announced
the appointment of Cara Lansley
as General Manager, in charge of
realising the potential of the new
facility.
“We have ambitious growth
plans for Kolorseal Midlands,”
says Deborah Hendry, Managing
Director of Kolorseal, “but we
want to grow the business in line
with everything Kolorseal stands
for – high quality and customer
focus. To achieve this, we needed
someone based at the Midlands
facility, dedicating 100% of their
time to the facility’s customers
Investment
continued with new
EVA laminate line
Cornwall Glass has brought
increased flexibility to its
laminate offer with six-figure
investment in a new Tema
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate)
laminated glass line.
Installed in at the glass
processor and IGU special-
ist’s site in Highbridge, Som-
erset, it supports Cornwall
Glass in bringing increased
agility to laminate glass
supply.
This includes the capac-
ity to process individual
sheets of 2500X3600mm,
something, which according
to Simon Hares, General
Manager, Cornwall Glass
Highbridge, represents a
significant advantage for its
customers.
“The fact that we can
process laminate glass here,
in-house gives us far greater
flexibility in the service we
can offer to our customers”,
he said.
“We’ve been asked more
and more frequently for
laminate and in processing
it here, we can significantly
reduce our lead times but
also introduce greater flexi-
bility to our product offer.”
The Tema LPB2536 line,
gives Cornwall Glass High-
bridge, capacity to man-
ufacture a wide range of
laminate products including
glass for balustrading, cano-
pies, staircases and walk-on
floors and ceilings, in addi-
tion to laminated IGUs.
Hares continued: “Growth
has come from a number of
different areas.” .

and their specific needs as well as
developing the business for long
term growth. Cara is ambitious
and organised and perfect for the
job.”
Cara explains: “I’ve had a lot of
experience in various aspects of
Business Management, including
setting up retail stores and run-
ning my own departments. I love
working with people and creating
effective chain management so
am looking forward to the new
challenges that Kolorseal brings.
Kolorseal is a well-respected and
established name when it comes
to colour coating in the fenestra-
tion industry.”

Glyngary works in
partnership with VBH
to develop PAS24
compliant hardware
Leading timber fabri-
cator Glyngary has part-
nered with VBH to develop
a PAS24 certified door
solution. Glyngary, a fami-
ly-owned window and door
fabricator since 1985, saw
an opportunity to develop a
door specification and secu-
rity hardware package that
helps them stand out from
competitors.
Glyngary wanted a
long-lasting product using
hardware which could
match the performance of
Accoya, the world’s leading
long-life sustainable wood,
guaranteed against rot for
50 years. VBH’s stainless
steel greenteQ Coastline
range is corrosion resist-
ant, has a long-projected
lifespan, a proven security
record and a 25-year guar-
antee, so it was the obvious
choice. It was used with the
stainless-steel Yale Mantis 3
multipoint door lock which
is also corrosion resistant.
The range is made from
Grade 304 stainless-steel, so
it’s exceptionally resistant
to corrosion even in the
harshest conditions. This is
particularly relevant when
using Accoya as, in common
with most durable timber,
there is a small amount of
acid present in the wood
which will attack base metal
fittings. Coastline’s 25-year
guarantee is the first of its
kind and the range is also
covered by the company’s
comprehensive Q-secure
security performance guar-
antee.
