FEIN is introducing 20
new variants of drill/
drivers, combi drills and
impact machines to its
range of cordless tools.
The addition coincides
with the company
expanding its battery
platform program,
based on batteries with
capacities of 4 Ah and
2 Ah with SafetyCell
Technology, in 18 V and
14.4 V.
FEIN is now offering a
wide range of cordless tools
for drilling, screwdriving,
metalworking, glass removal
and oscillating including the
FEIN MultiMaster. FEIN has
used its expertise in motor
construction and electronics,
both developed in house by
FEIN, alongside the battery
technology to guarantee
‘three-year
manufacturer’s
warranty’
high quality throughout the
entire range. This is backed
up by a three-year manufacturer’s warranty for the tool,
battery and charger, granted
following completion of
a free online registration
process.
FEIN’S FLAGSHIP
DRILL/DRIVER ASCM
There are five models in
the new range. The flagship
model is the ASCM18 QX
which is a 4-speed drill/
driver featuring the brushless FEIN PowerDrive motor,
which is 30 percent more
efficient than comparable
DC motors. This brushless
motor is designed by FEIN
especially for use in power
tools and it is built at FEIN’s
Schwäbisch Gmünd-Bargau
manufacturing plant.
The motor is compact,
virtually wear-free and fully
encapsulated to protect
against dust ingression.
Speeds of 400 to 3850 rpm
enable precise and effective

drilling. The right speed and
torque can be selected for
every application thanks to
the patent-pending 4-speed
arrangement and accelerator, which allows the user
to finely adjust the speed.
With a maximum torque of
90 Nm, the cordless drill/
drivers can handle 10 x
400 mm screws without
pre-drilling.
The FEIN Li-Ion batteries are equipped with the
SafetyCell Technology
developed in house, which
guarantees a long service
life. The single cell monitoring and separate communication cable, with emergency stop function, protect
the battery and tool from
damage resulting from overload, overheating or total
discharge. Users can switch
between drilling and driving
applications with a QuickIN
chuck and driver bit holder,
the latter weighing 200 g
less, making the machine
lighter (QX model only).

The new FEIN range also
includes 2-speed drill/drivers
(FEIN ABS), 2-speed combi drills (FEIN ASB) with
engageable impact function
and two impact drivers; ¼”
hex impact driver and ½”
square impact wrench (FEIN
ASCD).
All models are available
with 4 Ah or 2 Ah batteries.
The benefits of the 2 Ah batteries include a sufficient service life for most applications
and, since they are only half
the size, they are 250g lighter
and considerably cheaper.
Each tool contains a powerful
4-pole DC motor and is covered by the FEIN three-year
warranty for tool, battery and
charger with a simple online
registration process.
The new FEIN cordless
drill/drivers are also available
in attractively priced sets.
